It began innocently enough for MaulMaus. Just watching the TPM video - when she saw HIM walk out of the Infiltrator and over to the edge of the mesa and scan the nearby terrain. Then it struck her - this was the sexiest creature she had ever seen. Surfing the web, she found the original DMEB and discovered the world of fan-fic. Her fate was sealed then and there.

In general, MaulMaus sees Darth Maul as an honourable dark-warrior. He is not “evil” in the classical sense, despite what Lucas has said, though he is capable of “evil” acts. His greatest desire is power and he easily forsees the day he is the Sith Master and the universe is at his feet. Despite his darkness, she believes Maul is capable of love - though it isn’t clear if this helps or hurts him in reaching his goals.

DarkLady and her stories are MaulMaus’ greatest inspiration in creating her Maul and her universe - though the escapades of a certain “Mary & Sue” have also been a major influence (MaulMaus doesn’t want to take herself too seriously!).

Through her obsession with this Dark Lord, MaulMaus has also re-discovered her interest in art and illustration, creating her own web-site (born before DMEB-2) at www.maul-valon.com and is also currently helping with the creation and maintenance of DMEB-2.

She is also working on a couple more stories - but being a perfectionist, it can take a while!
